Complaint Progress
Where a technician records field work on assigned tickets and moves each one to its next valid step.
What it’s for
This is the technician’s side of a complaint ticket. Once an Admin hands you a ticket through Assignment Handoff, this is where you record what you did and move it forward — start work, post evidence, or resolve it.
Where to find it
Sidebar → Complaint → Complaint Progress, at /admin/complaint-ticket-progress.
Who can use it
- See the menu item and open the page — needs view.
- See your ticket queue and a ticket’s history — needs get.
- Post a progress update or resolve a ticket — needs update. Without it, or once a ticket is closed, the field update panel is read-only.
On this screen
Your queue of assigned tickets, filterable by status and priority. Open one to see a Field update panel — where you actually do the work — alongside the ticket’s info and timeline.
How to…
Start work on a ticket
- Open a ticket that’s
Assigned. - Click Start work. This moves it to
In Progress.
Post a progress update
- On an
In Progressticket, write a note and optionally attach photos. - Submit. This doesn’t change the ticket’s status — it’s just a logged update.
Resolve a ticket
- Write a completion note describing what you did — this is required, you can’t resolve without it.
- Click Resolve ticket.
Field reference
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Note | Required to resolve; optional for a plain progress update |
| Photos | Optional on any update |
Rules & statuses
You can only act on a ticket while it’s Assigned or In Progress — once it’s closed (Resolved, Cancelled, or Rated), the panel becomes read-only. Resolving without a note isn’t allowed: the panel blocks the submission and tells you a completion note is required.
