IoT Center Control
Monitor CCTV streams and manage gateway endpoints from one operational view.
What it’s for
This page brings together the cluster’s connected devices — CCTV cameras and gateway endpoints — so you can register them and, for cameras, watch their live stream.
Where to find it
Sidebar → General → IoT Center Control, at /admin/iot-center-control.
Who can use it
- See the menu item and open the page — needs view.
- See the device list — needs get.
- Create, edit, delete a device — needs create/update/delete.
On this screen
Two tabs: CCTV and Gateway. Each lists devices as cards, with search and a button to add a new one. Opening a CCTV card switches to a live monitor view with a queue of other cameras you can jump between.
How to…
Add a device
- Switch to the CCTV or Gateway tab, matching what you’re adding.
- Click Add service.
- Enter the hardware ID and a device name.
- Save.
Watch a live CCTV stream
- On the CCTV tab, open a camera’s card.
- The stream loads in the monitor view. If it fails, retry from the same screen.
- Use the camera queue on the side to switch between cameras without leaving the monitor view.
Edit or delete a device
- Open the edit or delete action on its card.
- For edit, change any field. For delete, confirm — this can’t be undone.
Field reference
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Hardware ID | Yes | Identifies the physical device; used to build its stream link |
| Device name | No | Falls back to a generic label like “CCTV camera” if left blank |
| Device type | Yes | CCTV or Gateway — decided by which tab you added it from |
Rules & statuses
A camera without a working hardware ID can’t stream — the monitor view tells you an external player is required instead of trying to load anything.
