Residents
Manage residents, assign them to a unit, and track their handover dates.
What it’s for
Every person living in a unit — owner, spouse, child, or other — is a Resident here. This is where you create their account, link them to a unit, and keep their status current.
Where to find it
Sidebar → General → Residents, at /admin/residents.
Who can use it
- See the menu item and open the page — needs view.
- See the resident list — needs get.
- Create, edit, delete — each needs its own permission.
On this screen
A table of residents for the current cluster, with a create button and row actions to edit or delete.
How to…
Add a resident
- Click the create action.
- Fill in their name, phone, email, and relation (Owner, Spouse, Children, or Others).
- Optionally set a password — if you leave it blank, one isn’t set here.
- Under Unit & Access, pick the unit they belong to, whether they’re active, and optionally a warranty date and handover date.
- Save.
Assigning a unit here also updates that unit’s own status — the two are linked, not independent.
Edit a resident
- Open the edit action on their row.
- Change any field, including reassigning their unit.
- Save.
Delete a resident
- Open the delete action on their row and confirm.

Rules & statuses
A resident always belongs to exactly one unit through this form — reassigning them changes both the resident’s record and the unit they’re linked to together, not separately.
